Scottie Scheffler has proudly entered the $100 million earnings club alongside Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy after a commanding victory at The American Express to kick off his season.
The current world No.1 has sent a strong message to the reigning Masters champion that he is a force to be reckoned with in this year’s Majors.
Last year, Scheffler faced an injury setback in January when a wine glass shattered in his hand while shaping ravioli during Christmas festivities. However, in 2026, he has come back strong, finishing with a remarkable six-under 66 to secure a four-shot win in California, marking his 20th PGA Tour victory in the past four years and granting him a lifetime membership.
His total earnings on the course now stand at $101,109,136, with his recent win adding $1.656 million to his tally, aligning him with Woods and McIlroy in surpassing the nine-figure mark in PGA Tour earnings.
At just 29 years old, Scheffler has also achieved a milestone shared only by Woods and Jack Nicklaus, boasting 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.
Reflecting on his success, Scheffler humbly acknowledged the significance of being mentioned alongside legendary players like Woods and Nicklaus, emphasizing the importance of staying focused and prepared.
Since clinching his first victory at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, Scheffler has outpaced McIlroy with 11 more wins, including his seventh win in the last 13 stroke-play events.
Notably, Scheffler has maintained a remarkable performance streak since his T-20 finish at The Players last March, consistently placing no lower than T-8 in subsequent events.
Commenting on Scheffler’s exceptional performance, joint runner-up Jason Day praised his consistent competitiveness, likening his impressive results to those of Tiger Woods while emphasizing the difficulty of maintaining hunger and drive in the sport.
Looking ahead, Scheffler remains focused on further improvement, highlighting his determination to build on his success from last season and expressing optimism for the upcoming Masters tournament starting on April 9.
Additionally, the rising star of the week was 18-year-old Blades Brown, who was part of the final group and tied for 18th place, expressing awe at witnessing Scheffler’s victory firsthand and acknowledging the surreal experience of competing alongside the champion.
