A teenager has set a new Guinness World Record for owning the largest collection of Jellycat memorabilia and intends to keep expanding it. Hope Roberts, 19, started her collection two years ago and recently confirmed she now owns 1,021 cuddly toys, key rings, stickers, and more.
Hailing from Bedford, Hope manages her own TikTok and Instagram accounts to showcase her discoveries, expressing how much happiness the cuddly toys bring her. Her collection is proudly displayed in her bedroom and her childhood room at her parents’ house, regardless of whether the items are preloved, secondhand, or brand new.
Jellycat, a British soft toy brand established in 1999, has gained significant global popularity in recent times. Hope’s passion for collecting Jellycat items began when she stumbled upon a cream bunny with a pink bow in a charity shop, purchased for just 20p due to its eye-catching price tag.
Over time, Hope’s collection grew rapidly with diverse items like pin badges and gift bags. Not having a specific favorite, she values her rare medium and small Bashful Maple Bunny acquisitions obtained at bargain prices. While these rare Jellycats can fetch up to £2k on eBay, Hope’s collection’s worth is hard to estimate as many pieces were gifted or bought secondhand.
Hope emphasized the increasing interest in Jellycats due to social media exposure, with her own collection including a rare and retired Juniper Lux bashful bunny personalized with her name by her grandmother. With a substantial following on TikTok and Instagram, Hope regularly updates her content, showcasing her evolving Jellycat collection themed for different seasons.
On December 3, 2025, Hope was officially recognized by Guinness World Records for her remarkable Jellycat collection. Despite feeling surprised by the achievement, Hope is excited about the future growth of her collection. Adjudicator Emma praised Hope’s enthusiasm and organization during the counting process, highlighting her delight in earning the prestigious title.
