A man described as a fervent supporter of terrorism, who had previously expressed intentions to overthrow the government, is now seeking to challenge his conviction by alleging that he was entrapped by law enforcement authorities.

Oliver Lewin, aged 41, was sentenced to six years in prison for devising a plan to target phone, TV, and radio infrastructure throughout the UK. Identified as a conspiracy theorist, Lewin, incarcerated in 2023, was fixated on the belief that the nation was being manipulated by “Jewish elites” with ties to Israel.

He also propagated a theory that the then Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservative administration was orchestrating a mass extermination campaign through Covid vaccinations. Recent documents from the Parole Board disclose that Lewin has formally appealed to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.

According to a report, he contests his conviction, asserting, “He has submitted an application to the Criminal Case Review Commission. Mr. Lewin contends that he was ensnared by the police.”

During a recent hearing, the Parole Board conducted both a public and closed session, concluding that releasing Lewin on parole would pose a risk to public safety, determining that his potential threat outweighed any minimal risk associated with release.

A prison psychologist expressed reservations to the panel, stating, “There is still uncertainty regarding the extent of his potential danger.”

Lewin propagated the belief that the vaccine was systematically targeting white populations in Europe, leading to the imposition of a Chinese communist regime in the UK. His conviction at Birmingham Crown Court was based on his involvement in activities geared towards terrorist acts.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Lewin disseminated conspiracy theories online and exhibited anti-Semitic sentiments. He attempted to recruit undercover officers to target a key transmitter in Sutton Coldfield, which serves millions of households.

Following his arrest on August 25, 2021, Lewin was found to be accelerating his plans for real-world actions. Authorities discovered evidence of reconnaissance activities on communication masts, along with plans detailing cable-cutting locations.

He actively engaged in drafting a manual for potential supporters, completing a significant portion of the intended chapters. Lewin also sought assistance from acquaintances, including a minor aged 16 or 17 at the time.

Upon searching his residence, law enforcement recovered military-style gear, a lock knife, camping equipment, camouflage attire, and two air rifles equipped with telescopic sights. The parole ruling emphasized that Lewin’s online activities, particularly when isolated, posed the highest risk, as his offenses were primarily internet-driven, focusing on conspiracy theories.

If released, a risk management strategy would entail restrictions on internet usage, mobile phone access, and GPS monitoring for a year at Probation Approved Premises. During the parole hearing, Lewin, who contests his conviction and has initiated an appeal with the Criminal Cases Review Commission, expressed newfound respect for Jewish individuals.

The sentencing judge highlighted Lewin’s convictions that the Covid vaccine was intended to be lethal and part of a grand conspiracy orchestrated by the UK government with links to Israel.
