Rosindell highlighted his discontent with the Conservative Party’s handling of issues such as Chagossian self-determination and British sovereignty, which he sees as a defining factor in his decision to defect. He also mentioned the neglect of concerns from constituents in Romford as a driving force behind his departure from the party.
Nigel Farage welcomed Rosindell’s decision, praising him as a patriot and emphasizing the importance of addressing the Chagos Islands betrayal. With Rosindell’s defection, Reform UK now boasts seven MPs in the House of Commons, including recent addition Robert Jenrick.
