Darts prodigy Luke Littler has voiced his confidence in seeing Angry Ginge, a participant in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Here, excel in the wilderness. The 18-year-old, a close acquaintance of the internet sensation Morgan Burtwistle, also teased a potential future adventure in Australia.
The avid Manchester United supporter and streamer touched down at Brisbane airport earlier this week in preparation for the show’s launch on November 16. Ant and Dec are set to grace ITV screens on Sunday, with Burtwistle already leading the odds to be crowned the jungle king.
Littler smoothly advanced to the knockout rounds of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton with a commanding 5-1 victory over Daryl Gurney, maintaining his title defense.
While awaiting his next opponent in the Grand Slam, Littler is anticipating the commencement of the show down under. Speaking to SportsBoom, Littler expressed his belief that the 23-year-old will perform admirably in challenging conditions, stating, “I think he’s going to do very well. I’ve known for a very long time. We’ll have to vote him on and see what he has to eat.”
Littler could potentially be a strong contender for future seasons of the television program, although TV executives might need to offer a substantial sum to secure the talented darts player.
When questioned about the possibility of joining the jungle, Littler responded, “Erm maybe… If they come around for the right price. I might go over for a couple weeks.”
Angry Ginge landed in Australia on Monday and received a warm welcome from fans and journalists ahead of the show’s premiere. The 23-year-old acknowledged his fondness for Manchester United and his mother but maintained a lighthearted tone in his interactions with the press.
“I did a Duke of Edinburgh bronze award at school so I am not too bad at camping,” he quipped. “One of the reasons I vowed to never go to Australia was because of the spiders and animals so I am hoping the hotel is secure.”
In a YouTube video confirming his participation in the reality TV show, he expressed his hope for Manchester United to secure victories in his absence and be positioned second in the league upon his return in early December, saying, “Hello there. If you are seeing this, I have officially been announced that I am going in the jungle. That’s what I’m praying for. I’m hoping I come out, Man Utd are second in the league and going for the title… Arsenal are dropping points.”
