Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat with the launch of HBO Max as part of their subscription. The popular streaming service, which features a wide range of HBO dramas and Warner Bros. films, is now available to Sky Ultimate TV package holders at no extra cost.
According to Sky, customers with Sky Ultimate TV on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, as well as Sky Q customers with the appropriate package, can access HBO Max Basic with Ads included in their subscription. This means viewers can enjoy hit shows like Game of Thrones, Friends, and Succession, along with a variety of Warner Bros. movies.
To start streaming HBO Max content, eligible customers can simply launch the HBO Max app from the homepage and follow the on-screen instructions. The service offers on-demand access to a wealth of entertainment options.
For those not currently on the Sky Ultimate TV plan, switching to it is an option starting at £22 per month. This package includes over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, described the addition of HBO Max as a significant milestone for Sky, offering a comprehensive entertainment experience with Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu all under one subscription. NOW Entertainment customers will also have access to HBO Max through the NOW app at no extra charge.
For non-Sky subscribers, signing up for HBO Max directly on the website is an alternative, with Standard with Ads plans available starting at £5.99.
