The upcoming Masters Champions Dinner, known as the most exclusive dinner in golf, is just around the corner, and Rory McIlroy has shared his menu for the prestigious event. Among the appetizers are Rosie’s dates stuffed with goat’s cheese, a dish inspired by McIlroy’s mother.
Having secured the Green Jacket nearly a year ago after a thrilling final round victory over Justin Rose, McIlroy will now have the honor of hosting the iconic champions dinner at Augusta National next month. The dinner, formally named the Masters Club Dinner, is a highly exclusive event held during tournament week, exclusively for Green Jacket winners.
McIlroy recently disclosed the dinner menu, offering a choice between Wagyu Filet Mignon and seared salmon as the main course options. The event is a highlight in the sporting calendar, with attendance restricted to past Green Jacket champions only.
Each year, the defending champion selects the menu for the dinner. In 2025, Scottie Scheffler served up three starters, including cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and “Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites,” with a humorous reference to a previous mishap he encountered while preparing ravioli.
Past dinners have featured a variety of themes and cuisines. For instance, Hideki Matsuyama presented a Japanese feast in 2022, while in 2024, Jon Rahm collaborated with renowned chef José Andrés for a Spanish-inspired menu.
Notably, Sir Nick Faldo, a three-time Green Jacket winner, once hosted a champions dinner featuring a simple fish and chips meal using cod from Grimsby, England. Reflecting on previous menus, Faldo humorously noted that Bubba Watson’s offering was considered the least impressive, featuring items like hamburgers, corn, and ice cream.
Despite the occasional unconventional menu choices, the Masters Champions Dinner remains a special and memorable evening for participants. Faldo emphasized the emotional and entertaining aspects of the event, highlighting the camaraderie and reminiscing that takes place among the esteemed guests.
