The family of Masrob Ali, a 54-year-old Uber driver from Blackburn, is mourning his tragic death in a fatal Bolton crash. Ali, who had been a taxi driver for about ten years, was on his way to work on the evening of Saturday, January 10, when his Citroen C4 Picasso was involved in a head-on collision with a red Seat Leon on Wigan Road in Bolton. The impact also claimed the lives of three teenagers in the Seat, while two passengers in Ali’s taxi sustained life-threatening injuries.

Described as “the gentlest soul” by his eldest child, 29-year-old Humayra, Ali was known for his kindness and safe driving. His family expressed shock and sadness at his sudden passing but found solace in the fact that he did not suffer during the collision. Humayra commended the Greater Manchester Police for their support and arrangements following the incident.

Investigations by the Greater Manchester Police are ongoing, with CCTV footage already collected and reviewed. Humayra emphasized that her father was not at fault in the collision and encouraged any witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation.
