Birmingham-born actress Helen George, known for her role in the BBC series Call the Midwife, expressed interest in joining The Traitors after being a fan of the celebrity version of the show. While speculation swirls about who will replace former Strictly presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, Helen, 41, firmly dismissed the idea of taking on the role herself, emphasizing her dedication to acting.

When asked about the possibility of becoming a TV presenter, Helen stated, “No, I’m an actor!” She shared her thoughts on potential replacements, mentioning Rylan and Holly Willoughby as contenders. Helen highlighted the excitement of upcoming changes, emphasizing the positive aspect of change.

Having portrayed Trixie Franklin in Call the Midwife for 14 years, Helen has ruled out a presenting role but has not closed the door on participating in The Traitors, currently in its fourth season with a growing audience. She expressed admiration for the celebrity version of the show and its cast, such as Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, and Celia Imrie.

Reflecting on her personal life, Helen’s relationship with Jack Ashton ended unexpectedly after seven years. She subsequently found happiness with Dan Innes, a divorced father of two, emphasizing the joy of being in a relationship outside the entertainment industry. As she navigates through the new year, Helen has opted for a relaxed start without setting specific resolutions, looking forward to her upcoming role in High Society at the Barbican in the spring.

Helen, who attended the premiere of Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall, shared her insights in an interview with The Mirror.
