“TIFF 2026: Stars Shine Bright at Film Festival”

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is currently underway in Canada’s largest city, attracting film enthusiasts and celebrities alike. This year marks the 51st edition of the festival, showcasing close to 300 films and renowned actors such as Javier Bardem, Cynthia Erivo, and Seth Rogen.

Throughout the festival, attendees can expect to witness red carpet premieres, fan excitement, and various memorable moments. Here are some highlights from the second day of the event:

K-pop sensation Lisa made a striking appearance at the premiere of her documentary, “Always Lalisa,” held at Roy Thomson Hall. The cast and crew of “The Stunt Driver,” featuring Jay Baruchel and Ed Helms, also graced the red carpet. Director Michael Dowse expressed his confidence in Baruchel’s portrayal of Canadian daredevil Ken Carter based on his performance in the film “Blackberry.”

Rebel Wilson promoted her film “Girl Group,” which she wrote, directed, and starred in alongside Jennifer Coolidge and Randall Park. Additionally, actor James McAvoy interacted with fans before the premiere of his supernatural drama “Faith” at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.

Furthermore, director Adrian Buitenhuis arrived at Roy Thomson Hall to showcase “Man in Motion: The Rick Hansen Story,” while Rick Hansen himself joined the red carpet event.

On the first day of the festival, the opening film “Being Heumann” by director Siân Heder captivated audiences. Notable figures like Rio Finnegan, Fan Bingbing, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow, and Jodie Comer were also present at various premieres.
