Kate Ferdinand has opened up about the challenges she is facing since moving her family to Dubai. The television personality and her husband, former footballer Rio Ferdinand, made the move from the UK to Dubai last August with their children. However, the transition has not been entirely smooth.

In a candid message to her Instagram followers, Kate, 34, revealed that she has been feeling out of sorts and experiencing what she described as an “emotional hangover.” She expressed that she doesn’t feel like herself, lacks motivation for her usual activities, and is overwhelmed with emotions, unlike her usual January rejuvenation.

Reflecting on the pressures of December, especially as parents trying to ensure a perfect holiday season for their children, Kate mentioned the mix of emotions that come with missing loved ones, including those with whom relationships may be strained. She acknowledged the unrealistic expectation of instantly transforming into a new and invigorated version of oneself in January.

Kate also shared her struggle with the pressure to maintain a fitness routine despite feeling fatigued and emotionally drained. She emphasized the importance of being honest about not always feeling okay, especially in a society that often portrays a facade of constant positivity on social media.

The reality star expressed her intention to prioritize self-care and rest over pushing herself this month, encouraging her followers to do the same if they are experiencing similar feelings. Kate and Rio, along with their blended family that includes children Cree, Shae, Lorenz, Tate, and Tia, made the move to Dubai nearly six months ago, leaving their London lifestyle behind.

Their relocation is part of a trend among celebrities, with figures like Naomi Campbell and Luisa Zissman also opting for a change of scenery. Luisa notably shared the challenges and expenses of relocating her horses to her new home.

In conclusion, Kate’s message resonates with many facing similar struggles, highlighting the importance of listening to one’s body and mental well-being amidst life’s pressures and transitions.
