Prince Harry and Meghan have returned to the United Kingdom after spending six years in the United States, according to reports from U.K. media. The surprise return was announced less than a week ago, with sources like the BBC and the Daily Telegraph confirming their arrival at Birmingham International Airport around midday. A private charter flight from Van Nuys, Calif., landed at the airport at 11:56 a.m., as shown by flight-tracking websites.

Their children, Prince Archie, aged 7, and Princess Lilibet, aged 5, have already been enrolled in British schools and are set to begin classes in September. The family intends to reside in a private nonroyal property outside of London, with the exact location yet to be disclosed.

Having relinquished their royal responsibilities over six years ago, Harry and Meghan departed the U.K. to pursue lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify. Tensions arose with the Royal Family as the couple accused palace staff of insensitivity towards Meghan’s mental well-being and leveled allegations of racism and media manipulation within the family.

Harry has recently expressed a desire for reconciliation to spend more time with his father, King Charles, who is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer. However, strained relations persist with his brother, Prince William, the future heir to the throne.
