Victims of Jeffrey Epstein are expressing strong disapproval toward Ghislaine Maxwell’s decision to remain silent during her upcoming appearance before the US Congress.

An attorney representing one of the victims vehemently insisted that Maxwell, despite receiving a 20-year prison sentence, should never be released. The victim, who was exploited by Epstein with the assistance of Maxwell, believes that Maxwell’s silence is aimed at shielding her associate, Donald Trump.

Maxwell, the disgraced daughter of media mogul Robert Maxwell, spoke positively about the president during a meeting with Deputy US Attorney General Todd Blanche and her former lawyer in Florida last July. Subsequently, she was relocated to a more comfortable prison facility in Texas.

In an interview with the Mirror, a victim, now a mother of two, criticized Maxwell for prioritizing powerful men over the children she facilitated in abusing by opting for silence. She accused Maxwell of seeking to protect herself and Trump rather than pursuing justice by evading questions.

Another victim’s attorney, Spencer Kuvin, joined in condemning Maxwell’s decision to remain silent. Kuvin, who represents multiple Epstein abuse survivors, labeled Maxwell as deceitful and emphasized the importance of victims sharing their experiences to expose the truth.

Maxwell’s transfer to a more lenient prison in Texas shortly after engaging with Trump administration lawyers raised suspicions of seeking a presidential pardon. The timing of her move following favorable remarks about Trump’s association with Epstein further fueled speculation about potential motivations behind her actions.

Scheduled to virtually appear before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on February 9, Maxwell’s legal team indicated her intention to invoke the Fifth Amendment to avoid self-incrimination and dodge inquiries. Despite her persistent denial of any wrongdoing, Maxwell’s legal maneuvers have sparked controversy and intensified scrutiny over her role in the Epstein scandal.

The committee’s efforts to compel Maxwell’s testimony have faced obstacles, including her legal team’s resistance and the potential for her to refuse to participate altogether. As the committee navigates the complexities of the case, the pursuit of justice for the victims and transparency in addressing the Epstein network’s ramifications remain at the forefront of the investigation.
