U.S. President Donald Trump utilized a catering truck to discreetly transfer from Air Force One during a potential security concern in Turkey early last month, leaving several individuals on board the aircraft. These individuals included U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and the 13-person press pool. Among those who accompanied Trump were deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino, director of Oval Office operations Walt Nauta, and his executive assistant, Natalie Harp.

Natalie Harp, a 35-year-old special assistant and executive assistant to the president, has been a constant presence by Trump’s side in the Oval Office and during his travels. She has stood by him during trials and assassination attempts in 2024. Notably, Harp has been part of Trump’s inner circle since 2022, being described by Sen. John Barrasso as an indispensable support to the president.

Harp has organized a mobile office that travels with Trump, equipped with a mobile printer for immediate document access. Initially connecting with Trump in 2019 after praising him for a law benefiting cancer patients, she is heralded by Republicans for her unwavering loyalty to the president.

The recent spotlight on Harp comes as Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff made comments about Trump’s priorities during a campaign event, implying Trump’s focus on personal matters rather than presidential duties. In response to Ossoff’s remarks, Trump dismissed him as “Pee-wee Herman” and emphasized his focus on White House renovations.

The exchange sparked heated reactions, with White House communications director Steven Cheung using derogatory language against Ossoff. Criticism of Ossoff’s comments included accusations of sexism and insensitivity towards Harp’s health history. Despite the controversy, Ossoff’s statements gained traction online, prompting discussions about his intentions and the dynamics of his relationship with Harp.

The unfolding drama has attracted attention from various quarters, with both supporters and critics engaging in the discourse surrounding Ossoff’s remarks and their implications for the Trump administration.
