Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, expanding its service to British customers after its launch in the US. This subscription option allows users to protect up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under a single plan for £16.99 per month.
AppleCare One offers coverage for accidental damage, loss, or theft of devices, with Apple providing repairs or up to three replacement devices per year per claim. This service enhances the existing AppleCare+ benefits, including unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority Apple support.
By consolidating multiple products into one subscription, AppleCare One offers potential cost savings. Apple estimates that customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing individual AppleCare+ plans for each device.
One notable advantage of AppleCare One is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended window for coverage surpasses the usual 60-day limit for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device.
Apple emphasizes the convenience of AppleCare One, stating that when upgrading devices through Apple, the plan automatically adjusts by removing the old product and adding the new one without additional steps. Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlights the customer-centric approach of AppleCare One, offering simplicity, flexibility, and comprehensive coverage for all eligible products.
Overall, AppleCare One aims to provide a seamless and cost-effective solution for protecting multiple Apple devices, ensuring peace of mind for users in the UK.
