Gordon Ramsay has seemingly taken a jab at Adam Ramsay Peaty’s family. The former Strictly Come Dancing star has been embroiled in a family dispute in recent months. Adam, 31, who was once very close to his family, excluded his entire family, including his parents, Caroline and Mark, as well as his elderly aunt and uncle, from his wedding to Holly Ramsay Peaty on December 27.
Adam’s brother, James, who was supposed to be a groomsman, was also uninvited due to alleged threatening messages sent by him to the swimmer. Adam reportedly felt that his parents were siding with his brother. Now, Gordon, Adam’s father-in-law and a celebrity chef, has been accused of indirectly criticizing Adam’s family. This is not the first time, as Gordon had previously made comments about the Peaty family during his father-of-the-bride speech at the wedding reception.
In a social media post, Gordon expressed love for Holly and Adam, which drew criticism from some users who felt he was continuing to upset Adam’s parents. On the other hand, some defended Gordon’s right to comment on his daughter’s Instagram page as he pleased. During his speech, Gordon praised Holly and Adam’s relationship while making comments that were interpreted as digs at Adam’s parents.
Adam’s family, particularly his mother, was reportedly hurt and outraged by Gordon’s remarks. Caroline, Adam’s mother, found Gordon’s comments about her parenting skills offensive and hurtful. Despite attempts to reach out to Adam before the wedding, his family members, except his sister Bethany, were allegedly blocked from contacting him.
